Sony Xperia Z2, T2 and E1: PH Release, Specs and Prices
Japanese phone maker Sony is all fired up to release upscale and budget smartphones in the Philippine market. Among the new Sony products to be released are the drool-worthy Z1 successor, the Xpreria Z2, their mid-range Xperia T2 Ultra, and their budget-friendly Xperia E1.

Latest Oppo Find 7 teaser pounds on Galaxy S5
The latest Oppo Find 7 teaser seems to capitalize on the disappointments left by the recent unveiling of Samsung's Galaxy S5. The controversial teaser doesn't say much but simply uses the "<" greater than symbol to suggest the difference between the Oppo Find 7 from Samsung's Galaxy S series.

Marvell announced their own 64-bit ARMADA PXA1928 mobile SoC
Marvell maybe isn't as popular or as loud as leading chipmakers Qualcomm and Mediatek, but now they're ready to scuffle it out with the big boys with their announcement of the Marvell ARMADA PXA1928 SoC with 64-bit quad-core CPU built on the Cortex A53 architecture and running at 1.5 Ghz frequency. It is accompanied with a Vivante GC5000 GPU which supports 1080p video encoding and decoding.

Samsung unveils two Exynos 5 processors: Exynos 5422 Octa and Exynos 5260 Hexa
Another big MWC 2014 announcement was revealed yesterday from smartphone industry frontrunner Samsung. Two high-end application processors were unveiled, Exynos 5422 Octa and Exynos 5260 Hexa processors, both supporting Quad HD displays.

Lenovo unveils the Yoga Tablet 10 HD+
Lenovo recently announced an upgrade to its Yoga tablet, powered by Qualcomm instead of the previous Mediatek processor. The new tablet features a full HD display with impressively long battery life of up to 18 hours.

@evleaks strikes again! Rumor has it that HTC One's successor will HTC One 2014 (codenamed HTC M8). The latest handset comes in not just one variant but two. @evleaks was generous enough to let us peek at two color variants in Gold and Grey. HTC One might be the best looking smartphone around but for whatever reason, it fails to conquer the mobile phone market the way Samsung does with its more popular S4. Mediatek unveils MT6732, a 64-bit LTE Quad-core chip
Quad-core processors will still be very much around for a longer period of time even as octa-core powered devices are being introduced left and right. Aside from Mediatek's own octa-core cpu, which the company has recently released and are being used by several of the latest smartphones in the market, the chipmaker has also announced its very first quad-core 64-bit SoC with LTE connectivity.

It's all about Facebook Home
Facebook's CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced on Thursday their own twist on Android, and it's called Facebook Home. It takes on Android in a key battle for consumers' mobile usage with rival Google. It will be available on a few Android smartphones initially with HTC First mobile device.
