Asus recently launched their latest offering in their Transformer line series, the Asus AiO Transformer P1801. The Transformer AiO is a desktop PC and tablet in one. A simple click of a button gives you the ability to switch from Windows 8 to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS.
In its desktop PC form, the detacheable touchscreen display is docked in a PC station powered by a third generation Intel core i5 processor. Its huge 18.4-inch display cum Android tablet boasts an Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core processor inside. It's a bit bulky and heavy at 5.28-lbs. in tablet form and may not come handy to carry around. But Asus defended the device's concept of flexibility and versatility as something that you can carry around in another room for easy setup, and is targeted for designers and business users.
Other specs of the Asus Transformer AiO tablet display include a LED backlit 1920x 1080 pixel display with 10-point multitouch. It also comes with 2GB DDR3-1600 RAM, 32 GB of storage, micro SD card reader, built-in microphone, a mini USB 2.0 port and a 33W input charging port. Its battery also boast of 5 hours continuous HD video and 15 hours music playing.
Additionally, the PC station's Intel Core processor is an i5-3350P quad-core processor, paired with an NVIDIA GeForce GT 730M graphics card. It also has an 8GB DDR-1600 RAM, 1 TB HDD, built-in stereo speakers, optical drive, SD card reader and HDMI port. It weighs around 9 pounds.
The Transformer AiO offers a very unique concept that gives users a wide array of customization options. It will be available starting April 12 for a bundled price of $1299.
