New Apple iPad 2 specifications at a glance

Apple's much awaited iPad 2 will have the same screen size and resolution as the original iPad, 9.7 inch 1024 x 768. Also same storage options (16GB, 32GB and 64GB) and OS (iOS 4.3).

So what's new with iPad 2 aside from being white? iPad 2 has two cameras — a front facing VGA at 30fps, 640 × 480 and a rear 720p camera at 30fps, 1280×720. Aside from FaceTime, iPad 2 is also equipped with new photo and video apps like the built-in Photo Booth app and other third party video and photo applications.

iPad 2 also features Display Mirroring. With iOS 4.3 you’ll be able to use the existing VGA and the new HDMI adapter to output video from your iPad. But on iPad 2, you will be able to use the new Display Mirroring feature. With Display Mirroring, anything that’s on your iPad 2 will be shown identically on your TV monitor when connected.

iPad 2 will run 2x faster and 9x better graphics, thanks to its new Apple A5 processor. Add a 3-axis gyroscope and it's a next generation gaming device you'll ever want to play Infinity Blade or Real Racing HD, action packed with awesome texture mapping giving you immersive gaming experience.

A slightly shorter and thinner iPad 2 will be released. If you find the original iPad a little big or heavy then iPad 2 will seem just right if you want to upgrade. iPad 2 also has magnets around its bezel, best suited for magnet powered accessories like its own Smart Covers.

So that's it for now for the new iPad 2 specifications. If we miss anything please let us know with your comments.
