Samsung Galaxy S4 Specs Confirmed

As the Samsung Unpacked event gets closer, more and more rumors on the Galaxy S4 specs are getting more solid and closer to getting certified official. Alleged "confirmed" reports from Pocket-lint's reliable source, reveals that the much anticipated Galaxy S3 successor will sport an Exynos 5 octa-core 28nm processor.

Additionally, the source said that Galaxy S4 will also have a 5-inch Super AMOLED 1080p display and a 13-megapixel rear camera, as previously announced.

The new Exynos 5 Octa is the same CPU previously reported the Galaxy Note 3 will also carry. It contains four Cortex-A15 and four Cortex-A7 cores. Other reports also suggest that it incorporates a 3-core PowerVR SGX 544MP3 GPU running at 533Mhz.

Pocket-lint's source also added that although it is powered with an 8-core processor, it may not run faster than S3's quad-core but rather it will be more efficient in handling processing tasks and will only use more cores when needed. Thus putting less strain on power usage.

Other features the Galaxy S4 will have are "Smart scroll" and "Smart stay". Smart scroll allows the device to track a user's eye movements when scrolling pages. While "Smart stay", a feature already incorporated in the Galaxy S3, monitors the user's presence and automatically turns off display or pauses a video when you move or look away.
