Solowheel: Fun and Portable Way to Travel in a Single Wheel

It's half the Segway, but looks more portable and more fun to ride. It's the wheel reinvented. Solowheel is the latest and smallest motorized transportation device created by the Inventist.

Solowheel is a self balancing unicycle with side mounted and foldable foot pegs that weighs only 20 lbs and can travel at speeds of up to 12 miles per hour. It's very portable and can be carried around in suitcase style.

The Solowheel uses gyroscopic technology for balance and powered by a 1000 watt motor and a rechargeable Lithium-ion battery that manages to recapture its own energy while you coast or go downhill. It can run up to two hours when fully charged and recharging time is only 45 minutes.

This step and go unicycle is very easy to learn. Just step on it and you're ready to go. Lean forward to go forward and backward when you want to slow down. It retails at $1500, it's a bit steep price for a single wheel but for eco-conscious consumers like me, I'm willing to own one.
