The ZTE Open features a 3.5-inch display and powered with mediocre Cortex A5 processor. Not much of a power-packed handset but this could just be the start of a much better features in the future for Firefox phones. And more can be expected from the upcoming Mozilla live press conference at the MWC.
Aside from the ZTE Open, Alcatel One Touch Fire will also be launched for the new OS in June for Latin America and Europe market. The One Touch Fire is similarly a basic phone with 3.5-inch display, 1Ghz processor, 512MB internal memory and a 3.2 megapixel rear camera.
Additionally, Mozilla promised to launch additional Snapdragon-powered phones from Huawei and LG in Brazil, Colombia, Hungary, Mexico, Montenegro, Poland, Serbia, Spain and Venezuela. Soon in the US and the rest of the global market are in the works and can be expected this year, accoring to Mozilla CEO Gary Kovacs.
